Italian theatre will be studied from different points of view: writing techniques of the scripts, philological tradition, printing. Special attention will be devoted to the dynamics of the relationship between text and performance, between the poetics of the dramatic genres and the actual stage procedures and practices.

Course program
The course will be devoted to Il ReTorrismondo. The work will be examined in relation to contemporary aristotelian literary theories and to theatrical experimentation taking place in Ferrara.
