Students will discuss with the teacher lecture notes and
bibliography indicated below: Lorenzo Mango, La scrittura scenica. Un codice e le sue pratiche nel
teatro del Novecento, Roma, Bulzoni, 2003.During the course they will be suggested or provided
additional reference materials .
Learning Objectives
Provide to students with the critical tools and methodologies for correct
analysis of the theatrical fact , both in the perspective of historical recognition , both in
a design perspective , leading to an detailed project of staging
Prerequisites
The course is intended for students of the Laurea Magistrale 65 Scienze dello spettacolo and for students of Lauera Magistrale 12 Design
Teaching Methods
The course requires the active participation of the students, who will be
involved in the analysis of dramatic texts, critical literature, iconographic
and audiovisual materials, in the light of the most recent and accredited
methodologies of the Theatre studies. Students will be asked to write
papers according to the instructions that will be provided during the
course.
Type of Assessment
The exam will consist of an oral exam, in which students are asked to
demonstrate knowledge and skills acquired through the readings and the
seminar work.

The art of staging : models , experiences , projects .
Program : a) Concept and models of stage writing ; models and structures
dramaturgy ; the fact theatrical genetic and phenomenical
consideration; b ) Analysis dramatic ; processing
a project of staging from detailed dramaturgical elements.
