The course aims to explain the reciprocal interferences between the two fundamental aspects
which stand at the base of the renaissance and baroque theatre (XVI-XVII centuries): on a side, the professionalism of the actors (Commedia dell'Arte); on the other one, the deep and tight cultural exchange which stands behind the courtesan theatre.

Learning Objectives
Being a course of the second grade degree, it aims to integrate the basic knowledge of the bibliography with a deeper investigation withing the complexity of the Baroque spectacle and of the Ancient Regime societies.
Prerequisites
The students must have achieved 18 cfu in the disciplines of the area L-ART/05.

Frontal lessons and vision of multimedial supports.

Type of Assessment
Oral examination. During the esamination, students must prove to have acquainted the bases of the discipline, the key ideas and to refer them with a critical exposition.
