Learning Objectives
Knowledge and understanding: advanced knowledge of Italian cinema from the 1950s to the 1970s and understanding of narrative forms and styles of each period.
Applying knowledge and understanding: advanced knowledge of film analysis' methods and understanding of film techniques.
Making judgements: advanced analytical skills in the field of film form.
Communication skills: use of proper terms of film analysis, film style and cinematic language.
Learning skills: autonomous use of analytical tools for the study of cinematic narration and style.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of the main periods of film history.
Teaching Methods
Lesson with projection of filmic sequences.

Type of Assessment
Oral examination. Open questions about: a) the subjects discussed during the course; b) slides and films on MOODLE website; c) bibliography and filmography of the course program. The examination will last 30-40 min.
