Learning Objectives
This workshop aims to provide the student with tools to
orientate, according to the most advanced methods, to the study of
ancient history.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of Greek and Roman history and good
knowledge of the classical languages.
Teaching Methods
Seminars with active participation of
students (discussions and individual research).

Type of Assessment
The student will write a brief summary of two of the reports held during the Laboratory.
Course program
The workshop program will focused on historiographical and
methodological issues, starting with the examination of significant
aspects of ancient history (political and institutional structures,
imperialism, religion and society, geography and space, citizenship,
Romanization); it envisages the presence of Italian and foreign
teachers according to a schedule to be agreed.
