Six volumes from the reading list in "programma esteso". Other materials will be
distributed during the first day of class.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the course the students will be aware of the main cultural and literary
events that crossed China from the rise of Mao Zedong to today. The other aim of
the course is introducing students to the reading and translating of original literary
material from contemporary China.

Intermediate level of Chinese required (at least 1500 characters)
