Course Content
The course intends to provide students with elements of basic knowledge about some typologies of educational and training services on a territorial level as well as some typologies of learning actions that experts in education and training can manage.
For Students attending classes:

Learning Objectives
Learning objectives are defined on the basis of the Dublin descriptors:
1. Knowledge and understanding: Knowledge and understanding of the diverse and complex educational and training services. Knowledge of the diverse educational and training services to be managed by experts in learning processes (in terms of design, management, evaluation).
2. Applying knowledge and understanding: Knowledge of some of the basic pedagogical competences that are needed in the local educational and training services, via meeting experts as well. Critical analysis of the main concepts discussed in classroom and creation of synergies among issues, authors, theories, contexts.
3. Making judgements: Being able to design and analyse educational and training projects
4. Communication skills: Knowledge, understanding, utilization of key concepts related to educational and training service sas well as to the learning project design. Being able to communicate in writing one’s own analysis about pedagogical issues.
5. Learning skills: Being able to build up one’s own autonomous pathway to deepen specific pedagogical issues and themes that will be part of the course in order to use them within the local educational and training services
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge on the main features of educational and training services
Teaching Methods
Face-to-face lectures will be integrated by ppt presentations, pictures, videos, laboratorial activities aimed at discussing contents in groups or individually; experts, testimonials, operators actively working the fields of the lectures will intervene at distance or in classroom. The aim is to critically discuss with them on some concrete learning activities managed within the educational and training services.
During the course, seminars, laboratories, conferences will be organised in order to examine specific relevant issues. Attendance in these events is compulsory for students. These events will be taken in October, Nobember, December 2017. Moreover Students will have to attend the Laboratory supporting their insertion into the labour market (information and schedule available at http://www.unifi.it/vp-10424-laboratorio-per-la-ricerca-attiva-del-lavoro.html).
Students are warmly recommended to check the Professors’ webpages, Moodle platforms, Department and School web sites as information about events will be disseminated therein.
Results and contents of the events will be discussed in classroom and during the final examination
Further information
Participation to national and international events in Florence will be part of the course. Events will be taken in October, November, December 2017 on relevant and actual issues in relation both to the contents of the course and to the competences to be developed by students; testimonials coming from educational and training services from different contexts. They will discuss with Students relevant issues in relation to the learning projects they manage. Moreover the Laboratory supporting students in being prepared to search for a job will be taken and will need to be attended. Type of Assessment
Students attending the course will have some ongoing evaluation at the end of each of the learning units. Evaluation will be in forms of laboratory, project works to be prepared individually or in groups of students before the end of the course. Information and materials for these activities will be posted in the Moodle Platform and discussed in classroom. These will be considered for the final evaluation of the course for each student.
Students will also need to prepare a case study on one of the topics that will be dealt with in classroom. More information including the format to be used will be provided during lectures. Students will have to use Moodle Platform to share any assignments during the course.
Oral examination will need to be prepared in a ppt document that will summarise the work done by the student and will be an outline for the presentation.
Wirtten work can be partially made in group but individual contributions must be evident, transparent and discussed.
Final examination will be a summative evaluation and will include a questionnaire to be delivered to students via Moodle or in classroom for the self-assessment in relation to the learning objective of the course.
Students not attending the course will have to study the Volumes as listed. Moreover they will need to prepare a written project work that will be agreed with the Professor three months before the final examination.
Foreign students can take the final examination in Italian or English (both the written and oral parts).

Knowledge on services and educational and training professionals will be framed within the context of policies, measures on a local, national and international level.
Learning units will be: Local educational and training services supporting knowledge society. Expansion of new forms of training needed to develop innovative knowledge. Educational and training services that can be designed following a taylor-made an open approach.
