The course aims to clarify the meaning of care in education in an interdisciplinary perspective. The pedagogy of care will be approached from the point of view of gender studies by investigating the historical and cultural causes that have produced the common idea according to which the care skills would be a feminine peculiarity. Special attention will be paid to the men involved in the areas of training, education and care.

The course aims to clarify the meaning of care in education in an interdisciplinary perspective. The pedagogy of care will be approached from the point of view of gender studies by investigating the historical and cultural causes that have produced the common idea according to which the care skills would be a feminine peculiarity. During the course special attention will be paid to the men involved in the areas of training, education and care.
One of the course’s specific objectives will be to acquire skills in research and intervention as part of educational and social research. For this purpose, examples of the construction of research tools in the social and educational sector, with particular reference to interview tools will be presented.
