AN HISTORICAL APPROACH FOR THE CONTEMPORARY ITALY
The course of lectures introduces on the historical study of the relations between societies and education in the contemporary age, with particular attention about the development of educational institutions in Italy (during the 19th-20th centuries). The evolution of the schooling system and educational institutions in Italy is analysed by means of the relations with politics, society, economy.

Learning Objectives
Basic knowledge on the complex historical relationship between social life, education and formal and informal training processes, with particular attention to educational and training system of united Italy.
Ability on critical orientation within educational professions and the current structure of the Italian educational system and its historical and social origins.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of contemporary italian e international history between Ninenteenth and Twentieth-century.
Teaching Methods
Lectures – Use of computer and web – Provision of online educational materials (slides, tables, databases, etc.) – Multimedia tools.
Type of Assessment
Usually will turn the examination in oral form
