Course Content
Portugal and Europe. A relationship during centuries. The course aims to reflect, particularly through the essays by the Portuguese philosopher Eduardo Lourenço, on the actual and ancient concept of Europe in Portuguese culture. In the course will be focalized historical and literary confluences and tensions between Portugal and Europe in the ancient, modern and contemporary age, with the aid of some literary texts by Almeida Garrett and José Saramago
