Course program
The course aims to clarify the meaning of the aesthetics for human life, starting from the issues relating to its foundation as a philosophical discipline. We will try, therefore, to answer the following questions: 1) How emerges and develops in human species the aesthetic attitude towards others and the world? 2) What kind of relationship is there between the exercise of an aesthetic attitude with the cognitive and emotional dimensions of the experience, starting from the dynamics of perception? On this basis, we will then address the theme of the relationship of the origin of art from mimesis, analyzing Aristotle’s Poetics.
