The course is about Gender Anthropology, a discipline that hasn't found yet the due space in Italian Academy, but raises growing interest thanks to the multiple dimensions of the concept "Gender" that is at the same time a theoretical scientific instrument and a pattern for socio-political and educational action. The course is divided into two parts, one developing the history of anthropology and one focusing how anthropology contributed to the rise of the concept of gender and present debate.
