Learning Objectives
Practical and theoretical knowledge of the dual of the Arabic language. The course is expected to teach the fundamentals of the Damascus dialect with its vocabulary, formulations and structures.
Prerequisites
Good knowledge of Arabic language (level B1)

Face-to-face practical lessons (using communication tools; CD’s, videos, and internet).

Course program
The Damascene dialect: pronounciation, differences in phonolgy between the standard Arabic and the dialect, verbal and nominal morphology, colloquial phrases in the different circumstances, listening to music, watching movies, parts of a play, reading texts and dialogues, conversations in the Syrian dialect, oral and written exercises, translation (Arabic-Italian, Italian-Arabic)
