Learning Objectives
Facing the new theories concerning the origin of the Gospels, which seem to destroy the traditional idea of the Two Sources (Mark and Q), students are called to use their critical abilities.
How to reconstruct a lost text.
Prerequisites
Good knowledge of Greek, Latin, and Classical Philology. Students able to read Biblical Hebrew aree welcome.
Teaching Methods
Discussion between students and teacher. Students read, translate and give a critical evaluation of texts.
Further information
Photocopies of the texts object of study will be given by the teacher.
Type of Assessment
Orally examinations. Students will expound a short passage from Marcion's Gospel in a philological perspective.
