Structures and elements of the staging from the analysis of the theatrical and
dramaturgy from a historical perspective. Processing solutions
directing from dramaturgical choices, themes and space.
Students will discuss with the teacher lecture notes and
bibliography indicated below: Lorenzo Mango, La scrittura scenica. Un codice e le sue pratiche nel
teatro del Novecento, Roma, Bulzoni, 2003. During the course they will be suggested or provided
additional reference materials .
Learning Objectives
Knowledge: Acquisition of an appropriate framework of the main notions concerns dramaturgy and practices of stage direction, with appropriate focus on specific and relevant spectacular episodes.
Competency: Acquisition of critical and methodological tools for a proper analysis of the theatrical fact, both in terms of historical reconnaissance and in
a stage direction perspective, aimed at elaborating a detailed project.
Behavior: Development of conceptual processing, analysis and design processing, both individual and group
Prerequisites
The course is intended for students of the Laurea Magistrale 65 Scienze dello spettacolo (ex-270).
Teaching Methods
The course requires the active participation of the students, who will be
involved in the analysis of dramatic texts, critical literature, iconographic
and audiovisual materials, in the light of the most recent and accredited
methodologies of the Theatre studies. Students will be asked to write
papers according to the instructions that will be provided during the
course.
Type of Assessment
The exam will consist of an oral exam, in which s tudents are asked to
demonstrate knowledge and skills acquired through the readings and the
seminar work.

dramaturgy ; the fact theatrical genetic and phenomenical
consideration; b ) Analysis dramatic ; processing
a project of staging from detailed dramaturgical elements.
