Erasmus+ for studies

What to do

The Erasmus+ programme offers students the opportunity to spend a study period (2-12 months) at one of the partner universities with which the School of Humanities and Education has an agreement.

Students may attend university courses and use the host institution's facilities without paying additional fees, with the guarantee that the period of study abroad will be recognised through the transfer of credits to their academic record.

The Erasmus+ Programme enables students to experience life in a different culture, become familiar with new higher education systems, improve their knowledge of foreign languages, and meet young people from other countries, actively contributing to the development of an increasingly united Europe.

The call for applications to participate in the Erasmus+ Study Programme is published annually, and departures refer to the academic year following the publication of the call.

Procedures for outgoing Erasmus students

Procedures and documentation may be subject to change; you are advised to check your UNIFI institutional email regularly, as well as the pages on international mobility for both the School and the University.

What to do

Please remember

The mobility period must comply with the following criteria:

  • It may start from 15 July 2025.
  • In the case of Long Mobility:
    • It must have a minimum physical duration of 2 months (60 days) and a maximum of 12 months (360 days).
    • Mobilities shorter than 60 days of physical presence abroad are not permitted, although virtual mobility periods are allowed if accepted by the host institution.
    • Any virtual mobility period, if foreseen, must be added to the days of physical mobility, which must still total at least 60 days; otherwise, Erasmus status will not be recognised.
  • In the case of Short Mobility:
    • It must have a minimum physical duration of 5 days and a maximum of 30 days. It must always be accompanied by a virtual component (except for short mobilities within PhD programmes, which may be carried out without it, although it is recommended).
  • Mobility may be initiated from 15 July 2025.
  • Mobility must be completed by 30 September 2026.

The minimum duration for Erasmus+ mobility is 60 days. Fractions of a month (single days) will be paid proportionally. Only the days of mobility actually carried out and certified by the Study Period Certificate Form will be paid.
